Summer is just around the corner and planning for the 2023 Flushing SummerFest is in full swing!  This year’s festival is June 7th through June 11th and will be bigger and better than years past with new activities and more entertainment in addition to the carnival midway we know and love.

In keeping with tradition, we will kick off SummerFest with the annual parade Wednesday evening, followed by four spectacular days of fun and excitement.  This year’s theme will be “Back Through the Decades”, and we invite you to join the parade with a theme inspired entry.  This is a great way to get your business name in front of the community.

We encourage you to be a part of the 2023 Flushing SummerFest.  This festival would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors!

Parade Information

Due to LIMITED PARKING, VEHICLES NOT IN THE PARADE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE PARADE LINE-UP AREA.

Drop off location will be in grassy area in FRONT of the school. We suggest having a representative from your group in this area to meet people or receive items being dropped off.

Horse units MUST provide a cleanup crew.

Wednesday, June 7th @ 7:00 p.m.

Parade line up begins at 5:00 p.m. @ Central Elementary School (525 Coutant St., Flushing, MI)

You will receive confirmation with line-up location by mail prior to parade.

Float/entry judging will be held at 6:00 p.m. @ Central Elementary School (525 Coutant St., Flushing, MI)

Distribution of candy or other objects: ALL GIVEAWAY ITEMS MUST BE HANDED OUT BY WALKERS, NOT THROWN FROM VEHICLES OR FLOATS. This is a safety measure to prevent children from running off the curbs to get candy. This will be enforced by the police with the possibility of fines being issued or removal from the parade.

Registration for the parade is now closed online. You can visit our office if you would like to participate.
